Privacy policy.
A plain‑English account of the information we hold, why we hold it, and what you can do about it. Anything unclear, email us and we’ll explain it properly.
Who we are.
Site4You is a small web design studio based in the United Kingdom. You can reach us at mark@site4you.uk. We do not share your data with third parties except as set out below.
What we collect.
When you contact us through our website form, we collect your name, email address, and message.
If we work together, we also collect your business name, trading address, phone number, and domain preference. Nothing more than we need.
How we find businesses.
We identify potential clients through publicly available business listings. We only approach businesses that appear not to have a website.
Our lawful basis under UK GDPR is legitimate interests. We believe a small business without a web presence benefits from hearing about our services. If you would rather not hear from us, reply and we will remove your details.
We do not send unsolicited electronic marketing to individual subscribers, including sole traders or partnerships. Marketing is sent only to registered companies and LLPs.
How we use your data.
To reply to your enquiry, to build and run your website if you become a client, and to keep in touch about your account. That is all.
Data retention.
Client data is kept for the duration of our contract plus twelve months after it ends. We retain financial records for six years to comply with HMRC requirements, after which all personal data is deleted or fully anonymised. Enquiry data not resulting in client work is kept for twelve months and then deleted.
Your rights.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access the data we hold about you; rectify inaccurate data; erase data (in certain circumstances); receive a portable copy of your data; object to processing; restrict processing; and withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior lawful processing).
To exercise any right, email mark@site4you.uk and we’ll respond within one week.
Third parties.
We use Vercel to host websites and Tide to process payments. These processors act only on our instructions. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone else.
Cookies.
This website does not use cookies or tracking scripts. We do not collect any data through browser cookies. If you choose to contact us via our contact form, the form submission will be sent directly to us by email.
Complaints.
If you have any concerns, email us at mark@site4you.uk and we’ll do our best to put it right.
